Abstract
PURPOSE: To heat plural fusing parts simultaneously and uniformly and simplify an apparatus, by heating a glass container body and a glass handle with a simple heating burner, and fusing the parts.
CONSTITUTION: The bottom of a glass container body 4 is fixed at a vacuum chuck 3 by the suction of a vacuum pump, and a glass handle 10 is held by a chuck 11 and then fixed to direct fusing parts (10a) and (10b) upward. A gas burner 12 with adjusted heating power is moved, and ignited after the respective nozzles (12a)W(12f) are fixed at positions opposite the respective fusing parts. The glass container body 4 and the glass handle 10 are softened to such a state as to be fusible. The burner 12 is then moved beyond the tip of the glass container body 4 to lift a rod 9. The respective fusing parts (10a) and (10b) of the glass handle 10 are fused to the fusing parts of the glass container body 4 positioned just above the parts (10a) and (10b), and then allowed to cool.
