Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a high speed for memory access and to allow the drop of the power supply voltage down to the limit of the assured value of the memory working voltage, by receiving the output of a fault detecting circuit for power supply and controlling a memory chip selection terminal with the received output mentioned above. CONSTITUTION:When a fault detecting circuit 8 for power supply detects the voltage drop or cutoff of an ordinary power supply 2, a trnsistor TR9 is turned off by a power supply fault detection signal 6. In this case, an auxiliary power supply 3 already supplied the electric power to a memory 1. A selection signal 7 which is delivered from a TTLIC4' in accordance with a chip selection signal 5 is turned off by a pull-down resistance 10 and when the TR9 is turned off. As a result, the memory access is accelerated and the drop is allowed for the power supply voltage down to the limit of the assured value of the memory working voltage. Such power supply device is obtained.
