Abstract
PURPOSE: To suppress the production of nitrogen oxide and prevent the generation of fluctuating combustion by a method wherein a stable combustion is maintained by putting the primary combustion zone within an auxiliary combustion chamber under the enough excess air.
CONSTITUTION: There is provided the auxiliary combustion chamber 7 so constructed that the stable combustion therewithin is possible under the more sufficient excess primary combustion air 5 supplied into the auxiliary combustion chamber 7 than the air quantity necessary for the combustion of the fuel 4 supplied into the auxiliary combustion chamber 7. To a main combustion chamber 8 is supplied the fuel 2, from the surrounding of which the air necessary for the jet of the fuel 2 and the secondary combustion air necessary for preventing carbon from being accumulated within the combustion chamber are sent into the combustion chamber together with the fuel 2. By the combustion of the majority of the fuel 2 supplied to the main combustion chamber 8 due to the excess oxygen in the combustion gas sent from the auxiliary combustion chamber 7, a strong reducing atmosphere is produced in the secondary combustion zone within the main combustion chamber. And the unburnt portion in the secondary combustion zone is completely burnt with the tertiary combustion air 6 supplied at the downstream of the secondary combustion zone.
