Abstract

PURPOSE:To convert a numerical value of an optional scale to that of other optional scale without using a special circuit, by providing an addition counting circuit of optional scale, a subtracion counting circuit of optional scale, which is able to set the basic point of charging distance, and a time counting signal generating circuit. CONSTITUTION:A time counting signal 5 which is generated by the time counting signal generating circuit 4 is applied in parallel to the subtraction counting circuit 2 of optional scale, whose basic point of charging distance is set in advance by the numerical value setting mechanism 1, and the addition counting circuit 3 of optional scale, whose basic point of charging distance has been set to zero. As for the respective circuits 2, 3, whenever a signal 5 is input by the number of cycles of the scale portion, the circuit 2 substracts 1 by 1 from the basic point of charging distance, the circuit 3 adds 1 by 1 from ''0'', and the output of the circuit 3 is displayed on the display mechanism 6. When the counting output 7 of the circuit 2 has become ''0'', by stopping the counting of the circuit 3 by said output signal 7, the numerical value which is set as a basic point of charging distance of the circuit 2 of optional scale is converted to the numerical value displayed on the mechanism 6 as an output of the circuit 3.
