Abstract

CONSTITUTION: An Eu-activated rare earth vanadate red color luminous fluorescent substance of the formula [(Ln1-yEuy)(VO4)]1-x(MeO2)x (where Ln is one or more of Y, Gd, and La, Me is one or more of Ge and Ti, 0<x≤0.1, and 0.005≤ y≤0.2), obtained by adding small amounts of Ge and/or Ti to an Eu-activated rare earth vandate fluorescent substance, is added with stirring to a nitrocellulose-dissolved butyl acetate solution of obtain a coating suspension, and then said coating suspension is coated on the inner surface of a high-pressure mercury lamp globe, etc.
