Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a fluorescent lamp whose efficiency is high and which can beautifully illuminate the skin color of the Japanese, by using three kinds of fluorescent substances of specific composition and composition ratio and narrow emission spectrum and adopting a double fluorescent film system.
CONSTITUTION: The fluorescent substances are coated in two layers on the inside surface of a glass tube. The first fluorescent substance layer coated on the glass tube consists of antimony and manganese-activated calcium halophosphate. The second fluorescent substance layer coated on the first layer consits of 8 to 24% by weight of europium-activated magnesium barium aluminate, 32 to 42% by weight of terbium-activated magnesium cerium aluminate and 44 to 50% by weight of europium-activated yttrium oxide. The lamp color temperature of the first fluorescent substance layer is 4800 to 5200°K.
