Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the luminous efficiency of a double-tube-structure compact fluorescent lamp, in which the inner tube installed inside the outer tube works as a discharge path. CONSTITUTION:The inner wall of an inner tube 5 of a compact fluorescent lamp is coated with a first layer 6 consisting of a mixture phosphor of CAT and YOX and a second layer 7 consisting of Daylight phosphor. By thus preparing the first layer 6 from the mixture phosphor of CAT and YOX and the second layer 7 from Daylight phosphor, the CAT mixture phosphor which is notably deteriorated by ultraviolet rays is protected by Daylight phosphor. As a result, the decrease of the emission rate caused due to the deterioration of the CAT mixture phosphor is reduced, and the luminous efficiency of the lamp is much more enhanced.
