Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to generate an effective vibration by titled vibrating device without any damages likely to be caused at every fitting position of the parts, by fixing walls of a mold to the frame of a mold and fitting cooling water pipes in the walls of a mold at certain locations coinciding with positions of nodes of a vibration in the walls of a mold generated by a plurality of supersonic vibrating elements.
CONSTITUTION: The walls 3 are resonantly vibrated by the vibrations of supersonic vibrators 4 provided vertically to the walls of mold 3 and a wave of vibration 11 is generated in each wall and the direction of such resonated vibration is shifted by 90° to the direction of vibration of vibrator 4 so as to be same with the direction for bloom drawing-out. In this case, membranes 11b of vibrating waves 11 should be coincided with both ends of the wall 3. The walls 3 are tightly jointed respectively to the frames of the mold 1, 1, 2, 2 at each position of nodes 11a of vibrating wave 11 by means of fastening bolts 6 and nuts 7. The cooling water pipes 5, 5 are fitted so as to correctly meet with cooling water holes bored in the walls 3 and further located so as to coincide with positions of nodes 11a. Thus, there will be no fear of causing any reduction in efficiency of a vibration generated in walls 3 by vibrators 4.
