Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an accurate pattern as a person in charge of original generation designs by finding picture-element addresses by detecting a couple of reference mark at both ends from a signal obtained by raster-scanning a simple picture entered in a form.
CONSTITUTION: Picture scanner 4 scans on a form with an entered simple pattern in a raster shape and its output signal is stored in picture memory 5 and input to reference mark detecting circuit 7. Circuit 7 extracts sequentially the position coordinate of a couple of reference mark at both ends outside the pattern entry area of the form and outputs it to normalizing address arithmetic generating circuit 8. From two adjacent couples of the position coordinates, circuit 8 obtains picture- element addresses that correspond to simple pattern meshes by bilinear arithmetic and further generates a series of continuous addresses bearing fixed relation to the picture-element addresses successively to read a series of picture signal out of memory 5. Those signals are sent to simple pattern picture-element deciding circuit 9 to determine "1" and "0" of the picture elements of the simple pattern meshes under fixed threshold-level conditions, so that they will be written at corresponding mesh positions of simple pattern memory 10.
