Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent interruption of fuel supply when an aircraft is in an inverted flight by providing a fuel supplying motor pump in a fuel tank of an aircraft and also providing diaphragms in parallel on the outer periphery of the pump.
CONSTITUTION: An electric motor 9 for supplying fuel to an engine is installed at the bottom part of a fuel tank 1 having an oil feeding pipe 2. The motor 9 is provided with an impeller 11 axially supported on a shaft 10, and the fuel sucked up through a pump inlet part 25 is applied with pressure in a pump chamber 6 and supplied to an engine (not shown). On the outer periphery of the motor 9, diaphragms 27 are provided in parallel to form a suction port 28. By the provision of the diaphragms, the supply of fuel to the engine is continued even when the aircraft is in an inverted flight since the interior of the disphragms is filled with fuel by the surface tension.
