Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent fire hazard and promote lubrication by installing an oil chamber on the way to a member which transmits the revolution power of a motor to a pump.
CONSTITUTION: An oil chamber 38 including a coupling 32 which connects the rotation shaft 21a of a motor 18 with the drive shaft 6 of a pump 1 is communicated with an inlet 39 and an outlet 40 which are shaped symmetrically with a motor apparatus 27. When the motor 18 turns to operate the pump 1, fuel from the suction inlet 10 is sent under pressure from the outlet 11 to an injection valve. When an engine runs, oil pressurized by an oil pump is fed from the inlet 39 into the oil chamber 38, pushes to open a relaief valve 41, and turns into the oil pan. As the internal pressure of the oil chamber 38 is higher than the fuel pressure applied by the pump 1, fuel is prevented from leaking from the way from the drive shaft 6 to an bearing 7 and from flowing into the motor 18 by an oil seal 24 so that fire possibility can be prevented. Oil in the oil chamber 38 can be used to lubricate the shaft 6, 21a.
