Abstract

PURPOSE: To avoid malfunctioning of an engine due to external factors such as physical properties of fuel and the temperature, by controlling an air-flow controlling valve and a fuel-flow controlling valve in response to the temperature and the revolutional speed of the engine.
CONSTITUTION: An air-fuel ratio controlling system shown in the drawing is composed of CPU1, ROM2, RAM3 and an input/output control unit 4. This input/ output control unit 4 comprises a digital selector switch 5 to which many data given from the outside are afforded selectively according to a selection signal given by the CPU, an A/D converter 6, and a control logic circuit 7 which furnishes these data to CPU1, calculates them according to the contents of memory prestored in ROM2 and gives a control signal to an air-fuel ratio controlling means 8 and a warm-up controlling means 9. In the above system, input signals to the controlling means are the output signals of a sensor 14 for detecting the temperature of cooling water and an engine-speed sensor 15.
