Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the ceramic material from being applied with drastic thermal shock, by lowering the turning force of the starter and reducing the fuel supply rate for a predetermined period of time at the time of starting engine.
CONSTITUTION: When a starter switch 1 is turned ON, a relay 3 is closed and a timer 14 is set into operation for shifting a selector switch 15 to the side of a resistance 17. At the same time, a relay 13 is closed. Since electric current is thus supplied to a starter 4 via the resistance 17, the starter 4 is set into rotation but its turning force is low. On the other hand, since a start fuel signal CVset2 is transmitted to a fuel control valve 7 after it is reduced by a subtracter 12 by a level determined by a variable resistance 16, the fuel flow rate is lowered. By thus lowering the turning force of the starter 4 and the fuel flow rate, high-temperature combustion gas after ignition flows at a low speed in an engine 8.
