Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve time precision with simple constitution, by IC-implementing a circuit part, which obtains oscillation frequency temperature characteristics satisfying prescribed conditions by quantitative by detecting temperature, in the same body with an oscillation and frequency division driving circuit.
CONSTITUTION: With reset switch 5 open, temperature detecting circuit part 303 of one-chip IC generates binary data symmetric on a specific temperature between high and low temperature sides corresponding to a detected temperature and the signal is applied to logic circuit part 302 generating a compensation signal. Consequencly, circuit part 302 generates the compensation signal for obtaining frequency temperature characteristics satisfying expressions (I)W(III), and the compensation signal is applied to oscillation and frequency division driving circuit 301 together with binary data for the logical frequency adjustment of quartz oscillator 13 from fixed memory 31 via trimmer capacitor 16, etc., to perform the temperature compensation and frequency adjustment of oscillator 13 at the same time. This simple constitution which uses a combination of elements differing in temperature characteristics and requires no quartz oscillator, etc., of high performance in terms of temperature characteristics improves the time precision of the electronic watch.
