Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the heat-collecting efficiency, heat-insulating property and strength of the heat-collecting pipe by forming copper coating layers on the outside and inside peripheral surfaces of a stainless steel pipe constituting the heat-collecting pipe.
CONSTITUTION: The water heater A comprises a plurality of the heat-collecting pipes 4 which are closed at both ends thereof and communicated in parallel with each other by communicating pipes 5, and water introduced from a water supply pipe 6 is heated by solar heat while flowing in each of the pipes 4 and is thereafter tapped as hot water via a hot-water tapping pipe 7. In this case, the heat-collecting pipe 4 the copper coating layers 2, 3 formed on the outside and inside peripheral surfaces of the stainless steel pipe 1. Accordingly, the temperature is made uniform at the inside and outside surfaces of the pipes 4, the solar heat is collected efficiently, and the heat is efficiently transmitted to the water flowing in the pipes.
