Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the collecting efficiency of the collector which can automatically follow up the movement of the sun and collects the solar light energy by focusing the solar light through a lens system, by a method wherein the fixing positions of light-detecting elements to a support frame supporting the lens system can be regulated. CONSTITUTION:The solar light SL is focused by the lens system 1 such as a Fresnel lens and the energy of the focused light is trapped by a photoconductor, photoelectric convertor or the like 2. In this case, the plural light-detecting elements 4 (4X+, 4X-, 4Y+, 4Y-) are fitted to the support 10 supporting the lens system 1. The elements 4 are symmetrically placed in the same plane at an arbitrary position between the lens system 1 and the photoconductor 2, and in the neighborhood of the peripheral part of the light flux of the fimage of the sun being focused. Each of the elements 4 is fitted to a regulating frame 20 capable of regulation in X and Y directions on a fixed frame 30 so that the positions of the elements can be regulated. The differences between the outputs of the symmetrically located elements 4 are amplified and servo motors (not shown) for the X-axis and the Y-axis are controlled for tracking.
