Abstract
PURPOSE: To absorb and convert solar energy at high efficiency by automatically tracking sunbeams through a hemispherical convex lens and focusing onto an absorber movingly.
CONSTITUTION: The hemispherical convex lens 1 for a sunbeam focusing device consists of an optical glass. Spheres of the lens 1 and an absorber 4 are arranged to come on a concentrical circle to form a sphericity so that the absorber 4 is same diameter and concentric as the lens 1 to allow the focus to concentrate on the absorber 4. Where direct rays of the sun are incident through the hemispherical convex lens 1, the focus concentrates on the absorber 4 given on the diameter of the lens 1. The direct rays of the sun are then incident through the lens 1 movingly through automatic tracking, and thus the focus concentrates movingly on the absorber 4 coming on the diameter of the lens 1. The automatic tracking is then repeated endlessly.
