Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent gas leaks into a riser part when heating is unnecessary by providing two shut off valves between the exhaust system and the riser of the device of which riser part of the suction pipe is heated by the exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: A riser part 4 is formed at the bottom of a suction manifold 2 connected to an engine 1. The lower part of the riser part 4 is connected with an exhaust manifold 3 through a branch pipe 14 to conduct exhaust gas to the riser part 4. Provided in the branch pipe 14 are the first and the second butterfly valves 11, 16 which are synchronously operated. Then, both valves 11, 16 release the branch pipe 14 below the set temperature of the engine, and when the temperature further goes down, they close to prevent exhaust gas from coming into the branch pipe.
