Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify a work detecting means and to prevent loss of coating medium and pollution of an equipment, by detecting the presence of a work by means of a work-detecting circuit and two electricity-applying terminals provided at the work-fixing jig of an electrocoating equipment.
CONSTITUTION: A supporting board 3, which rotates with a bearing 2a attached to a base 1, is placed horizontally, and a work 5 to be coated is turned upside down so as to fit its opening 5a to the holding stand 6 of the supporting board 3. electrode 9 attached to the supporting board 3 is inserted into the work 5, and terminal members 11, 11 for applying electricity are allowed to contact with the work 5. The work-detecting circuit installed between both the terminal members 11, 11 confirms that the work 5 is placed on the supporting board 3, then delivers signals to a pump 14 so as to drive it, hereby coating medium A3 contained in a pump chamber 17 is poured through a hose 8 into the work 5 to fill the work 5. Then a voltage is applied across the electrode 9 and the work 5 while inclining the work 5 to the left or to the right alternately by driving a cylinder unit 4, hence coating medium A1 contained in the work 5 is electrocoated to the inside surface of the work.
