Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a titled structure which comprises supporting an upper chamber for treating the object to be treated which is traveling in a treating furnace in its lengthwise direction movably in the furnace width direction by means of the lower chamber placed thereon with this, which prevents thermal deformation of constituting members in the furnace, and which permits uniform heat treatment or cooling treatment of the object to be treated. CONSTITUTION:An upper chamber 5 and a lower chamber 6 are provided respectively by way of a predetermined spacing in the lengthwise direction of a heat treatment furnace 1, and the object S to be treated is run in the gap between both chambers in the furnace lengthwise direction. Hot wind is then ejected from the blow-down nozzle 5a of the chamber 5 and the blow-up nozzle 6a of the chamber 6 respectively from hot wind fans 4, 4 toward the object S. In this case, the chamber 6 is supported by means of rollers 37 on a hearth 36 and further the chamber 5 is supported on the chamber 6 by means of rollers 33. Hence, when the associated members in the furnace are heated and expand, both chambers 5, 6 can move mutually in the furnace width direction there is no change in the shape of the chambers 5, 6 and the stable and uniform heat treatment of the object S is made possible.
