Abstract

PURPOSE: To control generation of heat and prevent thermal deterioration, by setting the hardness, tensile stress and rebound elasticity of tire rubber in a preset range, and to improve the run-flat and wet performance of the tire, by using a double-layered tread.
CONSTITUTION: Rubber of a side wall 5 is reinforced by material having a property of at least 70°C in JIS hardness, above 10kg/cm2 in tnesile stress (Mod 25) after a 24hr long ageing test in an inactive environment at 140°C±1°C and above 65% in rebound elasticity using a Dunlop tripsometer. The inner layer, facing a belt layer of a tread 6 is made of elastic material with at least 55° in JIS hardness and above 70% in rebound elasticity, while the outer layer on the side separated from belts 10, 11 is made of elastic material with below 65% in rebound elasticity, the volumetric ratio of both layers being set at below 1.0.
