Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove produced scraps efficiently by acceralating circumferential velocity faster than a shifting speed of a metal sheet.
CONSTITUTION: A metal sheet 26 is fed to a side trimmer 1 through a pinch roller 2. Then the sheet whose edges are cut is wound through a next process, while cut edges are discharged in a C direction shown by an arrow to be wound. The pinch roller 2 provided with rubber rollers 33 and 34 is consisted of rotation shafts 35 and 36 and a stand 37 which supports said rotation shafts 35 and 36. Rotary round blades 11a and 12a are rotated by the pinch roller 2 with the aid of a transmission gear mechanism 27. The circumferential velocity thereof is designed to be faster than the shifting velocity of the sheet 26. The scraps caused by removing the edges with the round blades 11a and 12a are discharged in the C direction to be wound.
