Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the energy of oscillation leaking outside from the tuning fork basement, by providing an elastic member having its longer direction almost vertical to the longer direction of the oscillating arm at the basement of the oscillator and in one a body with the basement. CONSTITUTION:The tuning fork type piezoelectric oscillator 21 consists of the oscillating part 22 formed by two pieces of oscillating arms and the basement 23. The elastic member 25 interlocking the contraction part 24 and the oscillating part 22, the member 26 connected across the member 25 and the support arm 27 which is supported and fixed to a supporting member are provided in a body to the basement 23. Only the Y' and Z' direction displacement component are transmitted at the part 24 for the displacement of the basement 23, and thus the member 25 is moved in a minute flexion oscillation. The size with which the member 25 resonates with the oscillating part is decided, and thus the oscillation of the oscillating part is reflected by the member 25 and not transmitted to the member 26 and the arm 27.
