Abstract

PURPOSE:To control the diaphragm of a collimator automatically in the case of the device in which a x-ray tube is provided on one end of the U-shaped arm and a x-ray picture-optical picture converting device on the other end, by polygonally approximating distances between the both devices corresponding to parallel transfer. CONSTITUTION:A x-ray tube is provided on one end of the U-shaped arm and a x-ray picture-optical picture converting device on the other end, and both devices can move parallel in the adverse direction, said converting device can move vertically to the direction of the x-ray tube, and a collimator is provided so that a x-ray radiation field exposured to the x-ray tube may be stopped down to the size of an input area of said converting device. The parallel movement is detected with a detecting circuit 61 in order to control the aperture of the collimator, the linear approximation is performed with a compensating circuit 62a which controls the amplification factor linking with vertical movement and with an absolute value amplifying circuit 62b, the polygonal approximation is performed with a polygonally approximating circuit 63 corresponding to a change of distance between the x-ray tube and converting device, and a motor 65 for controlling the aperture of the diaphragm is operated with this output.
