Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize a control for both the rising and falling times of a transfer pulse in accordance with the property of the CCD, by varying a control voltage to be supplied to a gate electrode of the MOSFET contained in a charge/discharge route of a driving circuit.
CONSTITUTION: With supply of a low-level signal, Q1 and Q2 are turned on and off respectively with Q3 turned on. The charge current flows to the load capacity CL through Q1 and also flows to the CL through Q3 and Q4. In this instant, if the control voltage VC is varied, the gate-source voltage of Q4 varies to change the gm of Q4. As a result, the rising time of the transfer pulse is controlled. With supply of a high-level signal, Q1 and Q3 are turned off with Q2 turned on respectively. Thus the charged electric charge of the CL is discharged. In the same way, the falling time of the transfer pulse is controlled.
