Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable copied images corresponding to applications to be obtained by making it possible to control the developing bias automatically according to the image densities of an original and also making it possible to vary the control range of the original bias manually. CONSTITUTION:If it is desired to obtain an image which is higher in image density and more in photographic fogs than an average copying image in the case of copying the same original 13, the set value of a variable resistor 36 is increased by turning a dial 36a. This makes the charging speed of a capacitor 37 lower even if the timing at which the output of a zero cross detecting circuit 32 falls to a low level and the input voltage of the inversion input terminal of the 3rd operational amplifier 26 are the same and this results in decreased conduction angle of an exposure lamp 14 and decreased exposure; therefore, the copied image is made higher in image density as compared with the time when the variable resistor 36 is set at an intermediate value. A thin copy may be obtained by the similar reverse operations.
