Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the change in image density during continuous copying and photographic fog by applying developing bias voltage to a developing device during the pause period of copying operation and changing the same according to the number of copies and similarly changing the voltage of an image expouse light source.
CONSTITUTION: When the rotation signal enters the terminal T1 of a developing bias source voltage control timer circuit, the signal is sent to a developing device 13 and applies bias voltage thereto. When the drum rotation signal enters the terminal T1, a transistor Q2 operates to cause charging of a capacitor C1 to take place and Q3 to operate. When charging of the capacitor C1 progresses, the developing bias source voltage returns to the voltage not controlled. When the drum stop signal enters the terminal T1, the charging voltage of C1 starts discharg ing and according to the pause time, the controlling of the developing bias may be performed. In addition, it is also possible to control the exposure light source lighting voltage by using a similar timer circuit. With such constitution, the change in the density of images during cotinuous copying and photographic fog may be prevented.
