Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve durability of a fuel mixing apparatus, by constituting the mixing apparatus by a pressurizing pump, a pressure regulator and a multistage type or orifice type motionless mixer, and reducing occurrence of troubles through employment of a mixer using no movable parts.
CONSTITUTION: In a mixing apparatus shown in the drawing, liquid fuel 1 and water 2, or liquid fuel 1 and powdered coal 3, or liquid fuel 1, or powdered coal 3 and water 2 are supplied via pipes to a pressurizing pump 4, which control the pressure of the mixture to a predetermined level by the aid of a relief valve 5. Then, the mixture is carried into a motionless mixer 6 for producing a mixed fuel. The motionless mixer 6 employs, for instance, a multistage type motionless mixer, in which a uniformly mixed fuel can be obtained by repeating the process of carrying mixture 8 of liquid fuel, water and powdered coal or the like carried from the left in the drawing dividedly into four pipes 9 and then joining divided mixture at 10, and the process of carrying the mixture thus joined at 10 dividedly into four pipes 9 located on the downstream side and then joining the divided mixture again at 10.
