Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a bracketing test when a device is in trouble without stopping the functions of the device, by providing a connector, switches connecting respective circuits of the device to the input terminal of a tester via a connector selectively, etc. CONSTITUTION:This tester is provided with connectors connectable with connectors making connections between a main device and telephone set and between telephone sets via a cable, and switches connecting respective circuits other than extensions of the device to the input terminal of the tester selectively, etc. For example, when voltage VL of a main wire is measured by using the circuit shown in the figure, switches SW0-SW2 are turned on and both switches SW10 and SW11 are set to terminal A; and PM connectors P2 and P3 of the tester are connected to the DF connector of the main device and the PM connector at the cable side is connected to DF connector P1 of the tester, so that while voltage VL is inputted to measurement terminals T1 and T2 of the tester, a bracketing test by turning on lamp BL will be made possible.
