Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a solar cell device of which output voltage can be adjusted by a method wherein solar cell elements stored in a frame are connected electrically with each other, each of the diodes is connected in parallel with each other with its polarity having a forward direction from a cathode to anode of the element and the elements are connected by a flexible connector in such a manner as they may be folded. CONSTITUTION:Semiconductor base plates having a photoelectric transducer area are connected in parallel or in series, solar cells 1, 11 and 21 stored in the frame are covered by a plastic cover 2, and they may be folded at the connectors 3. Output from the device is fed through the terminal 4. Each of the solar cells is connected in series, and the diodes 5 are connected in parallel with their porality having a forward direction set from cathode to anode of the solar cell. With this arrangement, for example, if the element 21 is bent at the rear side of the element 11, the element 21 is set to be insulated to shut off a photoelectric current of the element having the incoming light 6. With this arrangement, the output voltage may easily by adjusted by folding any one of the elements, resulting in making a highly convenient solar cell device.
