Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent damage to the sealing packing of a piston in a fluid pressure cylinder by returning the oil flowing in through the high-pressure port to the oil tank immediately before the piston reaches the maximum position of its extension in the fluid pressure cylinder so that the piston never passes the low-pressure port.
CONSTITUTION: A suction port 12a of a pump 12 is connected to an oil tank 13 while a discharge port 12b of the pump 12 is connected through a directional control valve 14 to a high-pressure port 6 of an oil-pressure cylinder 1, and the high-pressure port 6 and the oil tank 13 are connected to each other through a pilot operated releif valve 23. Moreover, a low-pressure port 9 of the oil-pressure cylinder 1 and the oil tank 13 are connected to each other and the oil-pressure cylinder 1 is provided with an end part 8, which is connected to a pilot port 23a. When the directional control valve 14 is operated to supply pressure oil from the high-pressure port 6 to a head chamber 1a and a piston 4 moves and reaches near the maximum position of its extension in the oil-pressure cylinder 1, the piston 4 blocks in the low-pressure port 9. Accordingly, the pressure oil in the head chamber 1a returns to the oil tank 13, so that a packing 10 never passes the low-pressure port.
