Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate control variance and prevent wetness of a transfer paper just after ejection, by making the peripheral speed of a roller higher than that of the photoreceptor and by controlling the quantity of a developer transferred to the transfer process. CONSTITUTION:Developing device 10 consists of developer storage tank 16, pump 18, developer supply pipe 20, developing dish 22, developer control roller 24, and so on, and most of the developer which is pumped up from storage tank 16 to developing dish 22 through supply pipe 20 by pump 18 is branched to arrow 28 and 30 directions to develop the electrostatic latent image formed on photoreceptor 4, and a part of the developer is stuck to the surface of the photoreceptor and is transferred to the transfer process in the arrow 29 direction, and most of the rest is flowed back to storage tank 16 along arrow 28'.
