Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent frame step out of the receiving side due to transmission switching, by supplying frame synchronizing pulses of the current transmitter to the frame synchronizing pulse generating circuit of the stand-by transmitter as reset pulses. CONSTITUTION:Frame synchronizing pulses of prescribed periods obtained from frame pulse generating circuits 7 and 7' are inserted to prescribed empty parts of the base band pulse train after speed conversion to perform multiplex synchronization. The frame synchronizing pulse obtained in transmission system 1 is given to circuit 7' in stand-by system 2 through signal line 8 as a reset pulse. When receiving this pulse, circuit 7' generates a frame synchronizing pulse which coincides with the frame synchronizing pulse of the current system in respect to time. Consequently, since frame synchronizing pulses coincide always with each other in both systems, step out of the receiving side due to transmission switching does not occur.
