Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the difference between the impedance of an antenna and a reference impedance and detect an object by making use of the fact that the balance state between said impedances assumes an unbalance state when the object appears. CONSTITUTION:A microwave oscillator 10 and a comparator 70 which is connected with an antenna 30 to its 1st terminal, a reference impedance element 80 to its 2nd terminal and signal detecting circuit 20 to its 3rd terminal are provided. The impedance of the reference impedance 80 is so set that the impedance of the 1st terminal and 2nd terminal of the comparator 70 are made equal. When an object 40 appears on the antenna 30 side, the balance state of the comparator 70 is broken by the signal reflected by this, and the signal based on this is passed through a detector 20, and a DC amplifier 50, so that an alarm device etc. 60 is operated. Hence, the presence or absence of either moving or static object is surely detected because the impedance difference is used.
