Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the presence or absence of pluse with use of no capacitor, by using a digital frequency comparator which receives the application of a pulse having a lower frequency than the detected pulse at the input terminal of one side. CONSTITUTION:A digital frequency comparator 10 produces the 1st DC level output when the frequency of the pulse signal applied to the 1st input terminal A is lower than the frequency of the pulse signal applied to the 2nd input terminal B. Otherwise the 2nd DC level output is produced. Such comparator 10 consists of an RSFF14, D type FFs 15 and 18, inverters 11 and 17 plus an AND gate 16. Then the pulse signal to be detected is applied to the terminal A; and the pulse signal of a frequency lower than the detected pulse is applied to the terminal B. The frequencies of both pulse signals are compared with each other to obtain a detection output.
