Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform the water supply continuously at constant delivery pressure irrespective of the characteristic of the pump or the variation of supply water, by controlling the rotation of pump such that the delivery water pressure is maintained continuously at the setting level.
CONSTITUTION: The water supply pump 1 is driven by a motor 2 through a hydraulic clutch 3. In such region where the delivery water pressure PW is lower than the pressure pre-set for the pump 1, the rotation of the pump 1 is increased because a hydraulic pressure inlet port 12 and a hydraulic pressure outlet port 13 are in open state thus to increase the delivery water pressure PW. When the delivery water pressure PW exceeds the setting level, pistons 10a, 10b move further to the spring side 11 to open the drain port 14 and to decrease the clutch hydraulic pressure PCL. Consequently the slip of the hydraulic clutch 3 increases to decrease the rotation of the water supply pump 1 thus to lower the delivery water pressure PW thereby the water is continuously supplied with constant delivery pressure even in this case.
