Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable to eliminate the folded noise produced at a digital attenuator effectively, by the decoding with higher frequency than the sampling frequency used in encoding. CONSTITUTION:When a digital signal encoded in sampling frequency fS is input to a digital attenuator, frequency components higher than fS/2 is produced at the output. In decoding this signal 18, side band waves 19 are produced up and down by taking the sampling frequency for decoding as the center. To avoid the production of folded noise between the side band waves and the signal 18 to be composite, the sampling frequency for decoding is taken sufficiently higher than the frequency used for coding.
