Abstract

PURPOSE: To decrease troubles and make size smaller and cost lower by the constitution consisting in integrating p-n junction parts forming LEDs and field effect type switching means as well as resistors and combining these to a single semiconductor integrated circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The potential gradient shown by a straight line L is produced by the induced voltage V2 of a voltage source 15 in a resistance type insulation gate 11. In a region where the voltage exceeds predetermined threshold voltage V-th out of the potential gradient, an inversion layer is formed below the gate 11, and said part goes ON. Thereupon, current flows through a p type semiconductor 13, divided n type semicondcutors 12aW12n, and further the inversion layer under the gate 11, thus causing the parts of the divided n type semiconductors 12aW12n to emit light. When the output voltage value V1 of a variable voltage generating source 14 changes in this state, the straight line L of the potential gradient parallel moves vertically, and the point of intersection with the threshold voltage V-th also moves, thus the change in information is analogically displayed.
