Abstract
PURPOSE: Photosynthetic microorganisms are mixed with rhizobia to inhibit the deactivation or reduction in activity of the rhizobia while stored.
CONSTITUTION: Rhizobia and photosynthetic microorganisms are mixed. Rhizobia are cultured in a medium containing, e.g., mannitol: 10g., K2HPO4: 0.5g, MgSO4. 7H2O: 2g, NaCl: 0.1g, CaCO3: 3g, and yeast extract: 1g in 1l of water and showing 6.8pH. Photosynthetic microorganisms are cultured in a medium containing following substances: (NH4)2SO4: 0.3g, KH2PO4: 0.5g, MgSO4.7H2O: 0.2g, NaCl: 0.5g, CaCl2: 0.5g, NaHCO3: 0.2g, and yeast extract: 0.01g in water, 1l, where additionally Na2S.9H2O is incorporated so that the content becomes 0.4% and the pH is adjusted to 8.4 by adding a KOH solution. When a mixture of rhizobia and photosynthetic microorganisms is cultured, the culture medium for rhizobia is employed.
