PURPOSE:To obtain a stable color signal even in case of special reproduction, by detecting an out of phase of a phase error signal in a reproducing carrier chrominance signal, and switching a main carrier chrominance signal and a delay carrier chrominance signal by this detection. CONSTITUTION:A part of the reproducing carrier chrominance signal which has been obtained by the frequency converter 11 is provided as a main carrier chrominance signal to one contact of the change-over switch 16, and also the other part passes through the 1H delay line 14, and after that, it is amplified 15 and is provided to the other contact of the switch 16. Also, the output of the converter 11 is provided to the automatic phase control (APC) circuit 17, too, and if there is a discontinuous part in the color signal, an APC error signal is obtained from the circuit 17. As for this error signal, its waveform is shaped 18, and after that, it is provided to the gate circuit 21.
