Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to record any system without losing their features, by detecting the types of color video signal and performing the signal processing through the stop of phase shift in SECAM system.
CONSTITUTION: The color video signal from the input terminal 1 is separated into the luminance and carrier chrominance signal at LPF2 and BPF3, and the burst signal is picked up from the carrier chrominance signal of BPF3 at the signal pick up circuit 75 based on the horizontal synchronizing signal from the horizontal synchronizing signal separation circuit 8. The picked up signal is detected at the color system detection circuit 76 and control signal is fed to operate the phase shift circuit 11 for the switch and control circuit 14 in case of PAL system. In the circuit 11, sequential phase shift is made by 90° every 1H for one field period, and no shift is made at the next field and further, at the next field, shift is made to pick up the low band conversion signal. On the other hand, in SECAM system, the circuit 11 is not operated and the low band conversion signal from the frequency converter 6 is recorded without phase shift. Thus, recording with fulfilled features in any system can be made.
