Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an emphasized natural border line by separating a composite video signal into a chrominance signal and a luminance signal, which are free from a cross color and a dot disturbance, and also correcting the vertical border line of the luminance signal. CONSTITUTION:A signal M which has been delayed by 1 horizontal period, and a signal T delayed by 2H horizontal period are generated by the 1H delay lines 22, 23 from a composite video signal B of the input terminal 21, and the operation of M-(B+T)/2 and M+(B+T)/2 is executed by the compounding circuits 24, 25. The output of the circuit 24 is input to the BPF26, and it is separated and output as a chrominance signal from the terminal 27. Also, the output of the circuit 25 is a luminance signal, and it is input to the compounding circuit 32 through the delay 30 and the LPF31.
