Abstract

PURPOSE:To lessen a color burst detection error during a jump by forcibly shifting the detection position of a burst signal in response to a command signal for a jump over a recording track. CONSTITUTION:Every time the jump command signal is generated, FF16 is set in response to the command signal and its output G fluctuates between high and low levels alternately. Consequently, the width of output pulse B of monostable multivibrator 9 varies by the length equivalent to a half wavelength of burst signal D in proportion to output level G. Consequently, the width of pulse B increases or decreases alternately according to the low level or high level of output G in every jump and the detection position of signal D is forced to shift in every jump, so that the detection position will not be deviated in one direction. Further, since the variation in width of pulse B in a jump is set a half as much as the wavelength of signal D, the width of outpt pulse C of monostable multivibrator 10 does not differ from its usual width even before and after the jump.
