CONSTITUTION:A control type prescaler circuit performs the frequency division of P and P+1 to an input signal to be frequency-divided, and the output is fed to an M+DELTAM frequency division auxiliary variable frequency dividing circuit 12 and an N+DELTAN main variable frequency dividing circuit 13. In the alove-mentioned circuit 12, an output added at 15 with DELTAM to the frequency division set data M is fed, and the frequency division set data N is fed to the circuit 13. Further, FF14 feeds a preset signal to the circuit 12 so that the circuit 12 performs once M+DELTAM frequency division during one cycle of the circuit 13. Further, the frequency division offset can easily be obtained to provide M+PN+DELTAM+PXDELTAN frequency division output.
