Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the yield of a parent metal by moving a parent a metal and an wire electrode relatively to each other so that the machining start and end points on a workpiece are locally left at corners of acute angles and at an extremely small interval. CONSTITUTION:First, a wire electrode 40 is moved relatively to a start hole 34 by the automatic control by the NC tape. Accordingly, along a machining locus 42a the electrode 40 moves to a machining start point 44, from which the electrode 40 acutely turns to move along a machining locus 42b in the direction shown by arrows in order to machine a workpiece 32. When reaching a machining end point 46 slightly before the point 44, the electrode 40 acutely turns again to move to the following machining start point 44 along a machining locus 42. Then, machining is continuously repeated in the same manner. The electrode 40 whose machining locus has been formed by such one stroke finally reaches the hole 34 to complete the continuous machining. Thus, the yield of a parent metal can be improved.
