Abstract

PURPOSE:To complete an unfinished portion of a work perfectly and improve a working accuracy by a method wherein an electric discharge machining is effected by forcibly inserting an electrode into the work and the electrode is provided with a revolutional motion during a predetermined period of time wherein a working voltage higher than a predetermined value is being maintained. CONSTITUTION:An electric discharge machining is effected under forcibly inserting an electrode 1 into a direction of a work 2. When the electrode 1 is arrived at a predetermined position, an output of a differential transformer 13 is selected preferentially and a servo mechanism consisting of a servo valve 6 and a hydraulic cylinder 7 precludes a lowering motion of the electrode 1. When a voltage Vd at a working gap is raised and an output Vd-Vs of a differential circuit 4 becomes higher than Vc, a monostable multivibrator 20 is operated during a predetermined period of time and the electrode 1 effects a revolutional motion for this period of time, thereby, a part of the work 2 not completed yet can be brought to completion.
