Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to collect light and absorb heat from the solar light beam with good efficiency by forming the cross section of the casing of a light collecting device into a right angled equilateral triangle and providing a transparent plate, a reflection mirror and a heat exchanger therein.
CONSTITUTION: The cross section of a casing 1 is formed into a right-angled equilateral triangle, and the inner sides of two vertical and lateral sides 1a and 1b holding the right angle are coated with a heat insulating material 2, and a reflection mirror 3 is fitted on the surface thereof. A double transparent glass plate 4 is provided on the hypotenuse, and a heat exchanger 5 is provided along the bisector of the right angle. A large number of aluminum fins 6 are arranged in parallel on the heat exchanger 5, and copper pipelines 7 penetrate through the above fins in zigzag manner, and water or freon gas is used as a heat medium. When a transparent plate 4 is set so that it rectangularly intersects the solar light beams permeating through the transparent glass plate 4 is reflected at an angle of 45° by the reflection mirror 3 and projected at right angle onto the heatxchanger 5, and therefore the heat exchanger 5 can absorb the solar exceedingly efficiently.
