Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify construction and make size small and capacity large by liquid- cooling all of a coil, an iron core and a sheath. CONSTITUTION:Water is flowed between the outer shielding wall 61 and inner shielding wall 62 of a double-walled sheath 60 to prevent thermal effect of the radiation heat of a casting 1 on an iron core 4 and a coil 5. The coil 5 is removed of heat by the cooling water passing the inside of hollow conductors 50 and the iron core 4 is cooled by the cooling water in water-cooling tubes 41. Hence, it is possible to dispose the stirrer 3 in proximity to the casting 1 which is of high temperatures and this construction is convenient in terms of heat shielding and cooling. Since the sheath 60 of double wall construction is formed of nonmagnetic plate materials, watertightness is maintained. The coil 5 is molded of insulation fillers 7 having solidified; hence direct dewing on the coil 5 does not occur and this obviates the decrease in insulation resistance.
