Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform titled forming which does not require secondary working of inside surface by advancing a die having a lead-in part and a drawing part from the end part of a stationary pipe to be worked along its axial line and retreating the same while revolving the end-tapered arbor provided in the die.
CONSTITUTION: A cylinder 1a for clamping pipe is driven and the pipe 2 to be worked is fixed by means of a clamping device 1. While a die 3 is advanced in an arrow direction by being driven with a die moving cylinder 8, the pipe 2 is pressurewelded. On the other hand, a center 4 for assigning an inside diameter having an end taper which is rotatively driven by a motor via a speed changer 5 is retreated axially by a drawing cylinder 6, then the end part of the pipe 2 is drawn to a required shape. The thickness of the end part formed in this way is made to a desired size by the center 4, and there is no need for cumbersome inside surface working after drawing.
