CONSTITUTION:A nonlinear resistance element 7 containing metallic oxide as main ingredients is connected between the point exhibiting maximum potential and the ground in the potential distribution characteristics of the windings 4, 5, 6 of the transformer. Thus, even if impulse voltage is applied to the winding end 1 of the transformer, the potential of the maximum potential distribution point of the winding can be suppressed by the operation of the element 7. Accordingly, the potential fluctuation of the winding 4 is reduced, thereby exerting the operation without losing the characteristic of the winding insulation.
